You would think that our Prime Minister’s genuine and classy effort the hold out an olive branch, by offering Olivia Chow and a nation grieving the loss of man of honor, one deserving of great integrity and leader of men, meet with the spirit and respect it was intended to be received in.

Imagine my surprise, the morning after one of the most shocking and historic nights in Canadian political history (May 2, 2011), when I tuned into the new privately owned Sun News Network, and found out it had been removed from its Bell ExpressVu channel slot.

Apparently Bell is open to air the Sun News for free, but is unwilling to pay the going rate that it pays currently to CTV, and the publicly-owned publicly-funded broadcaster the reviled, and villainous CBC.

Make no mistake about it, the evil entity at the bottom of this heavy-handed tyranny is none other than the CRTC, and we will not tolerate their insolence further. This is the most craven, rudest of insults to Bell subscribers, and a flagrant incursion on freedom of speech, and freedom of the press in Canada.

This is nothing more than childish retaliation of the most pitiful and classless of losers. If they cannot win as victorious champions, they will do their filthy worst as the ugly vanquished.

They are the foulest of cowards and must be disciplined swiftly, as were their dying liberal masters “the naturally governing party”!

An old liberal friend told me some time ago that Canadian politics all boils down to a popularity contest.

So now I am left to wonder if Steven Harper's loyalty to Canada supercedes that of Ignatieff’s 34 years of neglect, then why does that by default make Jack Leyton the choice of irrational, emotional women who hate Steven Harper because they fear what they cannot, or dare not say, nor have any evidence to demonize him for the fear they have no evidence of.

Does a women’s choice cause our economy to flat line because of her exclusive right to burn down economically, everything worth protecting and nurturing, because of her own selfish desire to fly in the face of the well being of the country we all profess to love?

Let us examine what we know of the New Democrat party of Canada, shall we?

We know they will profess to be against everything they say the Conservative and Liberals stand for, right, big business profits at the expense of the little guy, right?

Now let us look at how they profess to fund their initiatives, shall we?

They will drive those who would employ all of us, to some more profitable country leaving the Canadian government with an ever dwindling tax base, to fund our vaunted social programs, and in doing so will most certainly cause the social safety net which they profess to protect to fail definitively.

This is what smiling, old and comfortable, Jack Leyton will not tell you in order to get your Anglophone female/ Francophone vote to get elected!

Last time I remember Helena Guergis’s out of control ex-Member of Parliament husband (Rahim Jaffer) was plastered all over the media from newspaper to Internet, in a shameless consolidated intent to inflame and discredit the Harper Government.

Guergis embarrassed the PM, the party and their supporters and this eleventh hour ploy smacks of left media collusion to further embarrass the PM, when he is so close to forming the majority they all fear is all but inevitable.

It occurs to me that CBC and CTV have gone out of their way to inflate disingenuously, and disproportionately the truth behind why “two teenagers got kicked out of a Conservative party rally in Quebec City last Sunday.

Did it ever occur to opposition parties, and the mainstream media that paying Tory membership supporters earned first right to rally round their leader, to the point of selling out that rally?

Yes the RCMP over-reacted to protecting the Prime Minister, but obvious they saw a threat in the possibility of someone having ties to enemy Michael Ignatieff, perhaps attending as moles of the LPC.

How can any rational thinking person accept the leaving of “secret and damaging documents at CTV headquarters (coincidence?), for a period of ten days without realizing she had not receipt of them, as missing, or incredibly not making any attempt to recover them?

Less than two days later we are asked to believe that the same Jasmine MacDonnell “accidentally” left audiotape in a washroom, which recorded personal and damaging ministerial conversations concerning medical isotopes . Then after her being notified of their discovery months in advance of there release, and she did nothing to recover them leaving the five-hour audiotape to be conveniently obtained by the Halifax Herald-Chronicle.

The latest so called stimulus package the of 78 billion in out paid dollars to servicing the bad debts of US banks (in question of having really got there at all), smacks of white collar crime and the funneling of those funds into offshore accounts around the world. These same CEOs and executive officers are reported to be collecting huge bonuses for the calamity they have had no little part in causing in the first place.

Opposition parties to a man claim that the PM lost the confidence of the house after introducing a number of cost savings measures in the autumn update two weeks ago today. How can the Prime Minister have lost the confidence of the house when it is painfully clear and already proven beyond a doubt, that the knives had been out for his blood as early as three days after the last election?

They had no confidence in him to loose to begin with!

Micheal Ignatieff’s irresponsible and frivolous statements that Steven Harper’s politics are divisive are incendiary and outrageous!

Why does the MSM allow the LPC to suck and blow with the same breath in such transparent audacity without loosing all credibility. that they are the real culprits as the party of division in this Country? The same party who attempted to usurp power through the unelected back door means of a Coalition with the NDP, by making a deal with the devil himself the separatists Bloq Quebecois.

Last week they were a coalition who wanted to foist Stephane Dion upon all Canadians as defacto Prime Minister, should Harper have failed to convince the Governor General to prorogue Parliament. The same Stephane Dion who was unceremoniously dumped this week by the unscrupulous Grits, now they have tasted the bitter fury of the Canadian tongue over their ill-conceived marriage of convenience with the enemies of democracy.

Jean Chrétien the modern day father of the voter funding formula must be tickled at rearing his ugly head again, to orchestrate the desperate attempt to seize power like some left wing guerilla republic, third-world coup in a three-way coalition with the communists and the separatists.

Of course the Bloc is only a part of this to hold the other two stooges to ransom, and cause as much damage and instability as it can to the credibility of a viable Canada for Quebec, until they walk out on the evil triumverate like a jilted lover and trigger a new election.

A large question looms over how this power grab will be received, much less whether it will be tolerated as acceptable in western Canada. The stimulus that has lacked the galvanizing unrest and outrage in the west may now become all too evident, and ripe for major dissension if this insanity were to become reality.

If the measures proposed weren't about the slashing of Government subsidies to all political parties in an attempt to show a good example at a time of restraint, then the only alternative left is deficit financing of the budget. Something all conservatives are loath to do as we want rid of debt, not increase the size of it.

Why then does the opposition not lead by example and sacrifice the thirty million in savings in the common good of the nation to sustain measures to keep us from sliding a further into recession? The Government and its bureaucrats were willing, why not the opposition?

The liberals want unfair advantage just to compete as a political entity, and are willing to throw in their lot with the extreme left, (those who would bankrupt the nation) and those who are sworn to destroy the country, to usurp the recently and duly elected government of the people, to keep their subsidy of entitlement in an economic crisis that begs common sense.

This is solely about resting power from the legitimate Governing party of the day, and about spending our way out of recession as Bob Rae once tried in the mid-nineties to the chagrin of all Ontario, and has nothing to do with serving the best interest of Canadians and the economy, the opposition so sanctimoniously postures to falsely protect.

We now find out that as early as last October, three days after the election results had been decided, Jack Layton and Guilles Duceppe have been cooking up a back-room deal to form a unholy alliance waiting only for the right set of circumstances reflecting badly on the Tories to set this underhanded ploy in motion.

Truth rears its ugly head with latest turn of affairs concerning the scheming double-dealing, buck-toothed Elizabeth May, now advocating to her voters to throw their support behind the liberals in a traitorous attempt to “stop Harper at any cost” from even the smallest minority government.

The populist’s demand cried out for fairness in the French / English debates as poor little beleaguer Lizzy was being discriminated against, even though she did not have a legitimate seat in government, and after all she was just a women in an old boys network.

We knew then why it was Dion was spitting fury when Layton and Harper both refused to participate in the debates if Lizzy May was allowed to attend, under the principal it was fundamentality unfair to have two parties aligned to the same objective to participate in the same debates.

Now you have the treacherous evidence why their reasoning was smack on the mark, why the back room collusion made between Dion and May are nothing but a sham, to further the underhanded liberal’s bid to undermine the elections with their usual unethical, and duplicitous penchant, cheat to win under any circumstance. We’ve all seen this act before, as was the case in the Sponsorship scandal.

The PM’s consistent reassurances to all Canadians that our financial situation is in no way similar to the Americans or Europe, that our banks are sound and in no way in need of bailouts thanks to the strategic management of the Tories, has fallen on deaf ears quickened by the fears fanned by opposition parties, desperate to paint Harper as a do nothing “laissez-faire” leader who’s motto is “don’t worry…be happy”.

Nothing could be further to the truth than the lies and disinformation served up by the reprehensible irresponsible extremist left, and their silent partners the disgusting leftist media, who know they have as much to loose as the opposition parties if Harper is successfully reelected to either minority or majority government.

Is anyone really shocked by the sudden departure of the black widow that turned chameleon, of Canadian politics?

She whom many have claimed was supposed to have been the catalyst in uniting the right, but more likely entertained designs of the usury of Steven Harper and Peter McKay, to furnish the perceived vessel, and though her father’s money and influence she sought to become leader of.

Arriving on the scene as the media darling “a breath of fresh air” amongst the fetid stench of the sleazy liberal politics, she was touted as the long overdue breakthrough for women in politics.

It wasn’t long before she was throwing lavish parties with the who’s who of the Tory world serving up blue color martinis and smoozing her way into any riding associations
she though she could seduce along the way to the leadership bid.

Coming off as wooden and having limited or rehearsed responses to questions, and severely disadvantaged by her lack ability to communicate in French, she fell to the polish and professional leadership qualities of a discernable PM in waiting.

Not having the grace or dignity to support her leader she continued to presume upon Steven Harper’s patience until she was called to Stornoway, in which there ensued a terrible row where it was alleged she was ultimately told she would “never be leader of the CPC.”

Not long afterward the rancorous harpy bared her vicious teeth before two key confidence votes on its 2005 budget were due to be decided by Parliament, sinking her steely claws into Harper’s back and crossing the floor to take a ministerial portfolio in Paul Martin’s government, and saved it’s teetering topple into the abyss of a spring election in 2005.

What’s with Danny Williams, does he think he runs Ottawa by the outrage of his proxy?

Up until the 2004 general election and Steven Harper’s newly minted proposal that Newfoundland be allowed to keep the lion’s share of proceeds of her non-renewable resources, the Liberals were quite happy to take all her money into the federal coffers for the unforeseeable future but for the PM’s generous offer.

It was the footsteps of Paul Marten that could be heard racing to the deal to anti-up the pot. Then in typical fashion the liberals were the ones who reneged on the deal. Williams then bellyached until he literally shamed martin into compliance.

I don’t remember the Harper pledging any such deal in the 2006 election probably for the fact that Atlantic Canada has been the kept women of the Liberal Party of Canada since 1867 and doesn’t plan on changing her ways any time soon.

The hard reality of governing such a diverse Country with so highly regionalized interests is there is only one pot, and one must have priorities when doling out the goods on budget day. The PM said he would deal with the fiscal imbalance created by Martin under the Chrétien liberals and he did so.

Danny Williams got Newfoundland’s fair share of the Federal transfer payments based on the current formula of what she gives into, and what she get out of Confederation in return.

It was a privilege and an honor to represent all those great Canadians who could not through no fault of their own attend, as I know they wanted desperately to share the passion of letting our troops all over the world know just how much their shining courage means to us here at home.

How much they are in our hearts and our minds, and our prayers, for although we cannot know the horror and overwhelming odds that they overcome on a daily basis, we uphold, and revere them as the keepers of our freedom, and heroes of those who yearn to be free from the yoke of oppression and tyranny.

Liberation would not come for some seven months later.

Each time that you are called upon to be one step ahead of the enemy is one demand too much. One command too soon

The intensity of heat of day no one can know, the chill of cold of night no one can throw on that extra blanket of comfort, because you have trained to be something that no one can understand, you are bastion of human endurance and no one may know the pride and admiration you hold of your Country, of yourself or your fellow soldier.

You must now leave those things of simpler times and comfort to a past where you cannot remember, and only keep inside of you what drives you on, and for what reason those that have died before you have given your resolve unto.

For this is the only thing which will sustain you. That and the truth that every moment that a smile exchanged, or moment of weakness overcome may be your last, know you there remains a shining peace within your reach.

I am becoming increasingly annoyed at the so called third world stream refugees who come to Canada to escape times of war and persecution, to the generous benefits that this country extends them as landed immigrants, only to use this Country as a “public convenience” and return to their country of origin after war times with a dual citizenship and Canadian passport.

Immigration regulations under the last thirteen years of Liberal folly allowed that a person who has obtained a legal Canadian passport has only to visit Canada once every five years in order to maintain that dual citizenship, and the right to vote in any federal election. This without as much as a penny worth of tax contribution to Canadian citizens and our Country.

Some have audaciously stated outright they will return to collect a Canadian pension, and use the health care system in their old age. These kinds of comments boil the blood in my very veins.

These types of bogus refugee’s claims must be stopped immediately as, if you have not returned to the citizenship of this Country within a six month period each year your dual citizenship and passport must be revoked and forfeit, for the negligence of the lack of residence of citizenship

Why should Canadians who live year round in their ancestral home have to pick up the tab for the rescue of opportunistic third world immigrates, who will never consider this their and home and native land. My feelings are if you are not in active service with our Armed Forces, and have not lived in the country within the current five year period in which to qualify for the voter list, then the expenses of your rescue must be charged back to you.

The fact many of these ingrates have publicly ripped the current Government about how long they waited to board passage and the fact they had were made seasick, and lack of fresh water and food, let alone no air conditioning aboard only attests to the brass nerve of these impudent puppets.

I realize that the young MP representative of Nepean/Carleton is green and still learning the ropes of Parliament, and Parliament is no place to learn any lessons in civility, but he should have had the better judgment of seeing what an embracing reflection this leaves on the Prime Minister.

Where I do not believe asking the Mr. Poilievre to resign as Member of Parliament I do believe that a demotion from Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of the Treasury board to MP should be swift and decisive, and send a needed message that through this session’s days are drawing near to an end, does make acceptable one’s degenerating from a stature of dignity into schoolboy whelp.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture Jacques Gourde's, acts of lude hand gestures is more reprehensible yet, seeing as he is the senior of the former but still lacks the maturity of an adult and colludes in the diminishing of decorum in the House. He must also be asked to step down as Secretary.

All the parties have agreed repeatedly for over the last year now to dignify the House of Commons with civility and mutual respect, and the abject failure from every side of the House indicates that things are gotten progressively worse not better.

It leaves one to wonder do they not understand this classless bedlam is aired live on TV and recorded on film, and its connotations can and will be wildly misunderstood, misconstrued, and waged against them with distaste and disgust by the public.

So Canada is in a state shock, revulsion and recoiling from the revelations that were commented on last week, and fruitfully realized last Friday, and as such the bubble of self-denial and shattered of self-confidence has been ruptured, and most rudely now Canadians have finally been awakened.

Now in these sheltered days since the last great war… the so called "war to end all wars", is now very much in question, and in that as much as the world cries out for peace it must seem that we shall be granted anything but this comfort and security, because we cannot bring ourselves to grips with the facts that the enemy wants nothing but to be judge, jury, and executioner of our very own way of life.

What is this obsession with beheading? If we were the ones who were exacting the beheadings on those who give nothing unto others in return, would those of us perpetrating these unspeakable acts ask any quarter in return?

In questioning what gives these dangerous home grown youth criminal the right to terrorize us in such a way that there age has anything to do with the damage they can inflict in human lives we fall down badly…

Today’s startling revelations from out of CSIS that Canada has for years been developing its own brand of home grown terrorism at large within it’s borders, and has been admitted, cultured, and nurtured by the anti-American bashing Liberal left.

The Prime Minister has gone out of his way to be objective and fair to all of Canada's political parties on a range of different issues.

In his first session of Parliament instead of whipping his party into voting against the reinstatement of Peter Milliken as Speaker of the House.
The vote is by a wide margin in favor that the tying breaking vote on a non-confidence issue, has been delivered unto the liberals in the spirit of impartiality and recognition of merit.

On the subject ethics and integrity the PM vigorously persuade that grand old new democrat Ed Broadbent, because he was the best choice for the job, and would immediately restore lost credibility back to that office.
Unfortunately he was unable to except the offer due to his wife's health.

On the issue of appointing a vacant Supreme Court Justice, Harper again demonstrated his democratic fairness by allowing a chance to question Justice Marshall Rothstein before an all-
party committee for the scrutiny of suitability for appointment.

Most recently the Opposition parties, instead of showing good faith in a Government trying to bring a measure of non partisan cooperation to the table, they embarked on a shameful personal inquisition into Mr. Harper’s business accomplished nominee for Appointments Commissioner Gwyn Morgan.
In a travesty of justice to all Canadians they degenerated into nothing more than a demonstration of overtly vicious, petty, partisan politics.
The same Opposition who always seek to appeal to the lowest common repulsion of social behavior…

The official Opposition have asked an investigation into allegations that someone leaked documents that the former Liberal Government deliberately buried the true wasteful and reprehensible flushing of 100s of millions tax dollars with intent to deceive Parliament and the public, although the Auditor General herself sees no breach of the law that would require her to report this incident to the RCMP.

An obvious attempt to obscure the fact the previous Government has been caught again with their pants down, cooking the books and intentionally misleading Parliament as to why the coats of administering a program that jumped from $32,000, 000.00 to $90,000,000.00 dollars in the early years of implementation, and why the computerized data based tracking system still didn’t work.

The project which was meant to cost approximately $119 million ended up costing over a billion dollars to implement. Documents obtained by the now estimate the program cost at $2 billion.

The PM's vaulted accountability act being his first and foremost desire to pass into legislation before this parliament’s session is out, has been criticized as having too many loopholes in it and allowing lobbyist a revolving door to the influence of Government. The opposition party’s mellow dramatic act of insinuating the Conservative are at the same time appearing to have the optics of cleaning up Government, while not making available the means to do so is laughable.

They know full well legislation will not proceed until the act undergoes the scrutiny and amendments by parliamentary committee as it should, but to imply that the Government has purposefully built into its act its own exclusion is disrespectful, adversarial and just plain dishonest!

To further distort the spirit of the truth the Opposition tries to portray the Information Commission’s findings as grounds to chastise, and alleges the Government attempts to make less transparent the Government's actions are worse than the last corruption of Liberals.

The Conservatives claim that they met with the Information Commissioner in an attempt to amend any dispute by any means to the ultimate end...improve transparency of Government accountability.
Their explanation was met with condemnation, and stood accused of misleading Parliament.

The latest flap is that after Harper made a big deal about bureaucrats and Parliamentarians excepting gifts, his own Cabinet and MPs are up to the same game now that they are in power, the essential difference being the PM paid for his own tickets to the hockey game Monday night, and each and every one who accepted gifts of under $200.00 dollars were required to register them with the Ethics Commissioner for approval, and permission that by doing so, they did not leave themselves open to ethical compromise.

I am aware Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition’s function is to oppose Government policy, but the spirit of doing what’s right for the nation has obviously been dumbed down to the point of petty partisanship on behalf of the opposition party.

Do we really want to be led by those of us in print or on television, or those we elected to lead this Country out of the morase of the last 13 years and into a new area?

You have to wonder why the PM must feel compelled to throw in with the press for fear that the leadership he has so far displayed has made him venerable to the media's need to keep us dazed and confused?

Why is it so hard for 49% of Canadians polled and the opposition parties to honor the traditional military view of lowering our flag once a year on the day we honor all our war dead and those that have sacrificed their very lives so that we have the right to debate about this misguided nonsense?

It was unanimously agreed upon by Parliament to lower our flag to half mast the day this war began, on September 11th, 2001 to grieve the loss of 2,595 lives were lost including 24 Canadians.
A cataclysmic turning point of that magnitude in mankind’s history warranted extra ordinary events.

The lowering of the our flag on the Peace Tower should take the greater significance of only taking place when events occur commemorating the greatest of tragedies, and foremost at the 11th hour, on the 11th day, on the 11th month of every year, as long as our free world exists. With gasoline prices at the pumps ranging anywhere from .84 to $1.09 per liter, the highest since the holiday season one can only wonder how high the ceiling is before the walls cave in.

In the east the sense of entitlement to Alberta crude is outrageous and extremely audacious, considering that Alberta's influence over the Government has been ignored up until the time the Harper administration took power…

There is a viable solution to
our chronic dependence that like all other nations have on the hydrocarbon fuels.
We have an abundance of this raw material here in the east and elsewhere in this wonderful Country of ours.

The fuel is corn and it is readily available for processing with the right Government support initiatives behind its development.
You know it as "Ethanol blend" at the pumps and currently we only add 05% ethanol to current octane products available.

Yes it's true that soon legislation will pass into law which will make the sale of gasoline illegal without it containing 05% ethanol, but that is the tip of the iceberg concerning the need to expedite the necessity of pushing the envelope with the current windfall profiteering of a barrel of oil threatening to break $70.00 a barrel soon.

Presently motor vehicles can be run on 85% ethanol, but engineering changes will be necessary, as its new combustion properties must be accommodated for in the automotive industry.

The draw backs concerning this alternative at 85% is that the fuel burns hotter which will effect the cooling of the engine block, but the gains are substantial with it burning much more completely improving the efficiency of the automobile, and helping to reduce varnish deposits in the engine and pollution emissions into the environment.

One thing is certain, the oil industry is certain to put them selves out of business as we are going broke trying to get to the work place, and daily the cost of a liter of fuel has been eating away at all of our resources.

The Seal population consumes over thirty million fish every year and that figure is taken from our fishing jurisdictions alone, and after all harvesting quotas have been filled.

A large number of those fish are of the cod family and along with the management of those historic stocks which the former Liberal Government's of the Trudeau area whored away to the Russian and Polish drag fleets, who vacuumed off the floor of the Grand Banks, are both directly responsible for our Atlantic fishing fleet having been all but rendered impotent.

Canada is one of five Nations harvesting the seal population; the others include Greenland, Namibia, Norway, and Russia. No one of those five nations has more stringent regulations regarding its seal harvesting procedures. Canada outlawed the killing of "whitecoats" (the cute little white harp seal) and infant hooded seals "bluebacks" over nineteen years ago yet these zealots dreg up those same horrific images, and choose Canada to make the example of their misguided folly.

Why do they repetedly choose our Country to make a scourge of themselves?

Can it be that we are the only one those nations would entertain an ounce of tolerance with their ignorant pursuit of using Canada's influence as a pawn to turn the other sealing harvesters from their murderous ways?

Can it be that these fanatical lobby groups are the operatives of Green Peace and their institutions of monetary funding?

Whistleblower Legislation

Sources today report that the Prime Minister intends to table legislation to create the new Office of Public Prosecutions early in the next session when Parliament reconvenes. This new office will deal with whistleblower protection over fraud and corruption in the Civil Service, their contractors and its political masters the Government.

Today's reports also include a proposal by Pierre Poilivre MP of Nepean Carleton, and Parliamentary Secretary to John Baird, President of the Treasury Board who together wish to introduce a parliamentary bill to make law a private citizen's right to have a guilty contractor or bureaucratic body charged in a federal court of law.

We have just seen in the evidence of the Gomery inquiry the fallen government's reluctance to have their own friends charged for their fraudulent illegal activities. The new proposal would see those private citizens who feel strongly enough to have a defendant entity charged with fraud, also have in their possession a sufficient body of evidence to litigate without fear of loss of case. This would deter would-be profiteering of any private citizen for the benefit of his/her own advancement if the cause for suit was anything less than airtight.

If the suit were successfully won the convicted defendant would be forced to make restitution to the sum of three times the amount of the fraud originally perpetrated. A certain percentage of this remuneration to the government would then be awarded to the plaintiff as a reward for funds otherwise lost through fraud and never recovered, except through the actions of the whistleblower's courage and conviction.

If this newly proposed legislation did nothing more it would serve to make any illegitimate intentions contemplated by those in a position to do so, far less attractive if not most foolhardy.

The Supreme Court, and expert after expert has reported we cannot afford to sustain modern day health care in its present form, let alone a new and even more ambitious entanglement can be secured. This is yet another made in the Liberal party fiasco. The same party that brought us the national gun registry, and cannot or will not explain where the missing finances went…
The same program promised to all Canadians over the last three general elections and reneged on by the same Liberal Party of Canada for over eleven and a half years, before reaching some nebulous, tenuous agreement with the Provinces, but not yet implemented as of today.

We simply cannot afford it!

Where were the Liberal Government and the socialist supporters of it, the Bloq and the NDP parties then? Why were they not crying out in blue murder then? Where were their sustained cries?

The Liberal's presumptuous empty threats of toppling the Conservatives before they've reconvened Parliament are reprehensibly, irresponsible, if not laughable.
Will they fight the third election in less than two years leaderless, rudderless, and four million dollars in debt?

Do you think for one minute that the PM is shaking in his boots, cowering in a darkened corner thinking there's any truth that the other opposition parties will back such a lunatic ultimatum?

Not a one of them are in a position to afford another national campaign. They all would have much more to loose than the Tories, especially with a livid public exhausted with running to the polls again, due to a dysfunctional Parliament unable to proceed with the Nations business before the Government can make good on one of its election promises.

It would be tantamount to political suicide!

If Scott Brison had a shred of credibility or an once of self-respect he would not only remove himself from the future liberal leadership race, but also resign as MP for Kings-Hants, Nova Scotia.
This is the only honorable thing to do until he is able to extricate himself if that is indeed possible, from the all but certain outcome of his being the “smoking gun” in the income trust scandal.

His selective memory on matters of self-incrimination and his self-denial of the optics in the coinciding of the timing of his emails, to one of the most active income trust bankers in the Country, and the announcement of the repealing of taxation of income trusts by former Liberal Cabinet Minister Ralph Goodale are just too blindingly obvious to be believable.

The shameless leftist media and Parliament are granting him all kinds of latitude on these criminal investigations all while on a witch hunt for the head of David Emerson who has done nothing more than cross the floor of the House of Commons.
An act, which while some have alleged to be unethical is not illegal and not punishable by jail time.

Where was the sanctimonious outrage demonstrate by the media when Scott Brison crossed the floor and increased his salary and prestige, and went from opposition MP to parliamentary secretary, and on to Cabinet Minister of Public Works in the Paul Martin’s government of the day?

On a leading nation news program at 5:00 p.m. est. a smug, arrogant Brison foolishly downplayed his whole investigation into his involvement in the income trust leak, and when questioned what effect this would have on his leadership bid indicated it was just “a bump in the road” of his political future.

Someone should let this goat know that a bump of this magnitude may be his car disappearing over the abyss of a parliamentary rock bluff if, and when he wakes up in hospital tomorrow!

First of all this is not a matter of ethics, but one of partisan politics designed to further humiliate the Prime Minister into the optics he has done something illegal.

It is the prerogative of the P.M. to offer to and accept the defection of any defeated Cabinet Minister to a position of like kind, if it is in the interests that the Country gains the representation and council of that region in his own Cabinet.

Wayne Easter knows full well that being a Cabinet minister in a Liberal government is no more lucrative than crossing the floor to accept the same position in a Conservative administration.
Where was the media circus of clamor and kafuffle, and Bernard Shapiro to investigate Paul Martin’s illegal inducement of Belinda Stronach, when she went from being lowly M.P. to Cabinet Minister to gain him the deciding seat in a crucial confidence vote?

Now there was a clear breach of ethics and Shapiro did not need anyone to ask him to investigate the transgression, if he truly was a non-partisan, independent investigator at arms length of the government.

When asked to investigate the ethics of Tony Valeri's alleged land flips during the last election Shapiro declined for the reasons that he could not do so while there was no standing government in session.
Last time I looked there is still no standing government in session…so why is it now convenient for him to contradict his own previous inactions?

He botched both the Sgro and Grewal affairs and narrowly avoided a contempt of house vote, thanks to the ethics of the Bloq and Liberals, who can dish to out but cannot take it, when it come losing one of their own seats with dignity.

Today’s news polls announced that 69.9% of Canadians support the withdrawal of our present troops from Afghanistan...

The supposed reasons that Canadians are nervous is because in their glaring, blissful ignorance we have slid from among the top of peacekeepers to 44th in the world, under thirteen years of Liberal negligence who sent our military to Afghanistan in the first place as fighting troops.

A soldier goes to war knowing he/she may be killed on any given day. This is the commitment they make to their Country when they enlist.
For their Country to turn around and recall them home after sending them into battle, when the first casualties begin to occur dishonors their courage and valor. It also makes them and their Country a laughing stock before the eyes of the allies they fight alongside of.

Canadians seem to think we can just play at peacekeeping and leave the dirty work of fighting to other Nations, and still have the respect of our allies and neighbors....
Don't be simple!
Much of the deaths occurring to our armed forces in the last thirteen years have been caused by accidents from arcane equipment and transport support.

Let me remind them that we have not done much serious peacekeeping since the end of the cold war in the 1990s, and have been living in the bubble we call Canada for the last decade and a half.
Are Canadians so naive to think that our soldiers patrol the streets of Kandahar, and Kabul with plastic bullets or none at all, or are they just so insulated from the ugly face of the truth that they think we can engage in war without casualty or ultimate loss of life?

It was the loss of Canadian life and those of all our allies in WWI, WWII, and Korea, which allow us to live in virtual peace and contentment here in this bubble.

Harper's Decision

After a brilliantly run election campaign, has Harper committed the most needlessly foolish gaff of his illustrious career?
The so-called experts claim that the new PM is again doing the same things that hurt him in the past, by trying to do everything himself and not listening to who got him to the big dance.

There are factions that claim the Harper’s motives for selecting a liberal turncoat and an unelected appointee into his cabinet, have less to do with representation of big cities and than that of big business interests.

While the later is likely more the truth than the former, newly elected Prime Minister Steven Harper could well be on his way to political suicide and eventual oblivion, if he continues to hide down rabbit holes and stonewalls a ground swell of political condemnation for his recent actions.

Although Parliament has yet to sit in the house and many of the old ways of dirty politics are still very much in fashion, and an eye for an eye for the lose of the Stronach seat that has now be avenged, Harper has turned all of his high road ethics into hypocrisy!

A truly great leader of men should not be made to realize that if although the motives however noble lead to the dissolution, disappointment, and fracture of a newly formed caucus, and conservative support structure ethically, and financially then ultimately those ends will not justify the means.

A truly leader will know that by it’s reaction a mistake has been committed, and thereby having the fortitude to publicly admit to such, make the appropriate changes, and move on quickly learning by those mistakes.

There is no shame in wanting to do the right thing, but knowing it is both the wrong time and wrong way to make such changes, as it abrogates the best interests of the nation it is intended to serve.

My great hope is our new leader will have the courage and foresight to do what he is loath to, and maintain the credibility and integrity, which he worked so hard to achieve in the ultimate goal of leading a nation out the wilderness of cheap sleazy politics, and into the 21st century of an accountable honesty.

Yes I support freedom above and beyond all religion, and politics...

Freedom of choice, freedom of act, freedom to bear arms, and the freedom of speech.

These are the ideals that our democracy was born and based on.

I have seen with mine own eyes cartoons depicted by Muslim extremist and their media outlets, which summon up the horrific crimes perpetrated on the Jews in World War II turned into a parody on the Palestinian internment camps...

While this is both repugnant and offensive to me, it did not become the ignition point to riot, loot and burn as have the recent cartoons depicting the Islamic profit as a terrorist.

The profit Muhammad said to "hold to forgiveness, and to turn away from the ignorant", as was the word of Christ to "turn the other cheek", and to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

I think the cartoon however vulgar and ill conceived as it has become, is meant to question moderate Muslims, in that the teachings of Muhammad would never condoned the acts of heinous, violence especially on the innocents.

It is time for those moderates to speek out against these cowardly acts!

Each of them wondering if McKenna, Manley, Tobin, and Rock don't covet the regal chalice, then they must know something that we don't right?

Wrong, someone must take the fall for the Liberal Party of Canada and who better to assume the sacrificial wooden-headed dummy than Stronach herself, with her superficial fashion following of empty-headed female liberal supporters, who would like nothing better than to trumpet the arrival of the first woman liberal leader of their storied history.

We have far too many undecided voters who do not make an educated, informed choice, by voting for the front-runner in association to the perceived winner, wooed by the media’s special interests, or casting their ballot in irrational, abject fear of unsubstantiated lies by partisan interests.

Indeed the real travesty would be to force an electorate to vote under penalty of law, only to find that the possible repercussions may well decide a counterproductive, if not dangerous future.

It is at lease to say ironic, that Quebec hold all the cards in the end, in that depending on whether the federalist vote will get behind the Conservatives, and elect as many as twelve seats to Government or not holds within it the power to put the Conservatives over the top and into a majority win on January 23rd.

If the furor in “la belle province” is as intense as has been reported with the governing Liberals then it is curious to examine the extent as to how far they will go to punishing the Grits for making them the butt of the nation for their scandalous iniquities concerning Ad Scam.

For if Quebec is looking for a way to express their disgust with “natural governing party” and not get angry, but even, then what better way than to deliver the Conservatives a decisive majority.

Just how much influence do polls hold over people?
It has become pretty obvious that polls for the average Canadian with no particular interest in how his Country is run have a negative influence on how that person will vote, if that type of person will vote at all.

The bandwagon effect is substantial for those that like to feel good about supporting a winner. For those undecided votes there runs the risk that rather than make an informed choice at the polling booth polls troll for the politically ignorant among us, and in the long run are not helpful but counter productive.

Polls are usually right but as you have seen in the last election can be sorely wrong, which begs the question do people tell poll watchers the truth, or purposefully mislead them for reasons of political design?

This constant obsession with poll results have become more distracting than the issues themselves, leading one to wonder what would really be the result of a general election if no polling results were allowed but the final poll, the only one that really counts?
