Sordid Political Agendas

You would think that our Prime Minister’s genuine and classy effort the hold out an olive branch, by offering Olivia Chow and a nation grieving the loss of man of honor, one deserving of great integrity and leader of men, meet with the spirit and respect it was intended to be received in.

That an unprecedented funeral in state would meet with approval of all partisans, and subdue all allegiances, keeping at bay the bitter squabbling of infants long enough to see the great leader buried, but not in the Canadian media if there is a buck to be made.

Ergo Christie Blatchford on the right, National Post...

and her inevitable partisan abhorrence from the left by Lisa Provedor, Times Colonist...http://tinyurl.com/3sbon5l

I just can’t get past the media trying to either canonize Jack Layton’s last letter of dubious distinction, or the outrageous slagging his legacy of hope to all Canadians before the poor man can be eulogized?

Maybe they can put their sordid political agendas aside now that a courageous Jack Layton has been finally laid to rest, and the rest of us true north patriots can move on in the observation and respect, that the truth of what the great man meant to Canadian history lies somewhere in between.
