Triple E Senate

Ever wonder why Ontario and Quebec get a severe case of the intrasigence every time Senate reform is mentioned. Not too difficult really! It perfectly natural to want to the hold the majority of seats in the House of Commons, and appoint your own hacks and cronies to control Senate legislation. Why would you ever want part with the power which keeps you in the drivers seat no matter how offensive, and undemocratic that might be to the rest of the Country? Since Confederation itself, the west has unrespectfully been shut out from having any meaningful negotiations with the east because of population by distribution, and the appointment of the Senate by the office of the PM, to insure the passage of bills which are partisan and ideological in nature. Is it now time for the Senate to comply or suffer the consequences of irrelevance and abolition if they resist the winds of change? No longer may they thumb their noses and ignore western Canadians desire for fair play in the “house of sober second thought”. If this means opening up the Constitution to amendment then so be it, only this time Quebec wouldn’t be at the center of the maelstrom. Little Big Mouth

Who is that new aggressive little pit bull the Liberals have let off their leash on Giuliano Zaccardelli and Stockwell Day in as many days? Where was his fire when it came to running for the Liberal leadership race, where he might well have put some life into that undemocratic, tired, "old boys party of unaccountablility"? How dare the cocky little upstart attempt to insinuate the Government knew more than a month ago that Zaccardelli had planned to change his testimony, as his letter was addressed to the Commons Committee not the Government, and quite unspecific as to the nature of his further "clarifications", without as much as a shred of evidence to back up that claim? He cannot even quote a source for these unsubstantiated allegations! It would be laughable if it weren’t so irresponsible and totally outrageous! Who is this new Liberal attack dog, who thinks he is a DA in an American made TV law program? He's Mark Holland, M.P., Ajax-Pickering, and Co-Chair for the Commons Committee on Public Safety. His overt attempts to shed the blame for this whole sordid "Arar" mess, rise out of the failure of then Foreign Affairs Minister Bill Graham, and Solicitor General Wayne Easter under the Chrétien cabal, for having no communications, or control over of their federal police force the RCMP. It was under their four year tenure of Government that events which were caused by yet unnamed government officials led up to this whole horrific debacle, and it is their "Ministerial Responsibility" to accept the blame for the disgrace of Commission Zaccardelli's resignation, and the unjustified untold pain and suffering to Maher Arar, and his family.http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/arar/

Liberals Cannibalize Their Own

Not content to have been the devil's pawn in furnishing the instrument of renewed unrest in the tale of two Canadas the Liberal curs continue to foment the latest foul broth of the mother of all crones. After having accused the Conservatives of getting cozy with the "Ugly Americans" the hypocrite Grits are quite willing to jump into bed with Howard Dean of the Liberal want-to-be Democrats, while the filthy main stream media laps it up like an alcoholic's lusts after another “Aqua Velva chaser”. If the shoe had been on the other foot and John McCain was to have been the keynote speaker at a Conservative convention the hue and cry of the left worshipping media, the din of which would have risen to the very heavens, was conversely mute by the testimony as to its own contemptable corruption. So who will it be, Micheal Ignatieff the interloper and destroyer or Bob Rae the goat herder and bankrupter of nations? Or will the two whelps of Trudeau help be the kingmakers they think they are born to be? Yesterday it was Kennedy making Dion the surprise of the convention, now the twisted CBC has Dion making Kenney the winner of losers of the LPC. I say losers because they are the bottom feeders of the Liberal party of Canada. While McKenna, Tobin, Manley and Rock let the lesser fools make Harper look good and fill the years of opposition before they rear their ugly head in Parliament again. They have already conceded the next election to the PM. Remember that it will be the Stronach type money that will fund the next election and it will be up to Harper’s attention to detail that will carry the day. If national unity is the issue in the next national election then I fear for the Liberals for the fact that they no longer have anyone credible to fill the void of their leadership vacuum, giving a decided edge to Harper and a foot on the jugular of the enemy's throat, and the way back into the 21st Century for us all.
