The Man Between

Every one of us forgets little things from time to time, but in the case of Jacques Corriveau one might be forced to admit to a memory blank of this magnitude Justice Gomery is suggesting, is tantamount to perjury in its fullest extent of the law

The former Prime Minister can have his comedy act of all the “small town cheap” Presidents with their name emblazoned upon the golf balls that he can muster, but he cannot hope to extricate himself from the main man who stood to gain the most from his role of opening the doors of influence to the then Liberal Government.

“Jacques Corriveau, a close associate of former Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, said he had a medical condition that affected his memory, and he continually responded "I don't remember," much to the frustration of the inquiry lawyers".

“Previously a guest at 24 Sussex Drive when Mr. Chrétien was in power, Mr. Corriveau was cited for misconduct by Judge Geometry’s report for the kickback scheme he operated with ad firms and the Liberal party”.

“ Mr. Corriveau and nine others fingered in the report were being banned from the Liberal Party of Canada for life”.

Jacques Corriveau has been said to be the only one who could be found in bed between John Chrétien and his wife when it came to intimate with the former PM.

The true question remains who was really better for you Jean...
Jacques or Aline ?

Ostensibly Justice John Gomery and the Canadian Public were the only ones who really got screwed!

Chucky Goes to Club Fed

Now that Charles "Chuck" Guite has been convicted and sentence by a Quebec Superior Court Justice to three and a half years in prison, this is the usual soft mushy social false bottom served up with liberal predictability.

I think this kind of misguided leniency by the Justice system is one of the reasons that our system is open to abuse and corruption. This crook should have gotten fifteen to twenty years minimum and make an example of him.

The AdScam moneies which were awarded the Quebec entity know only as Group Action, has gone missing, and are still unacounted for...
As far back as 2003 Chucky boy had been reported by a well known Ottawa radio station as having been seen, at the airport leaving the country with suitcases (of taxpayers money?) for the Caribbean.

We all know there's more chance he won't even do his full term because of the bleeding- heart parole board, and once he's out it's off to his unnumbered account in the Caymans.
Our 1.5 million has been accruing interest compounding daily since '03, leaving him on easy street for rest of his days if we let him walk.

Outrageous!

The government should attempt to recover the misappropriated funds by tracking his every move after his release.

If these are the only consequences one must bare for the defrauding the federal Government of public funds, then more and more people will be convinced that the feather-light penalties of dishonesty, certainly far outweigh the benefits of honest, and ethical behavior.

Follow Chucky's trail!

Tories Behaving Badly

I realize that the young MP representative of Nepean/Carleton is green and still learning the ropes of Parliament, and Parliament is no place to learn any lessons in civility, but he should have had the better judgment of seeing what an embracing reflection this leaves on the Prime Minister.

Where I do not believe asking the Mr. Poilievre to resign as Member of Parliament I do believe that a demotion from Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of the Treasury board to MP should be swift and decisive, and send a needed message that through this session’s days are drawing near to an end, does make acceptable one’s degenerating from a stature of dignity into schoolboy whelp.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture Jacques Gourde's, acts of lude hand gestures is more reprehensible yet, seeing as he is the senior of the former but still lacks the maturity of an adult and colludes in the diminishing of decorum in the House. He must also be asked to step down as Secretary.

All the parties have agreed repeatedly for over the last year now to dignify the House of Commons with civility and mutual respect, and the abject failure from every side of the House indicates that things are gotten progressively worse not better.

It leaves one to wonder do they not understand this classless bedlam is aired live on TV and recorded on film, and its connotations can and will be wildly misunderstood, misconstrued, and waged against them with distaste and disgust by the public.

As incredulous as it would seem these Representatives of the House of Commons treat themselves and their positions of authority and dignity, as through it were a juvenile school yard scrum, where the one yelling the loudest trash talk or the acting-out a mocking embellishment of a pixy dance, is deemed as being one up on your opponent.

Canada Awakens

So Canada is in a state shock, revulsion and recoiling from the revelations that were commented on last week, and fruitfully realized last Friday, and as such the bubble of self-denial and shattered of self-confidence has been ruptured, and most rudely now Canadians have finally been awakened.

Thank the God of us all; no Canadian lives were lost as a result of our irresponsible, sleeping at the switch on the Liberal's last watch.

Why the surprise? Why the great outpouring of fear? Is it because we as a people have become weak and indolent, as we in our lifetimes have never had to face a challenge of such magnitude, and if so have degenerated into simpering wimps at the thought of having to fight for the values of freedom, democracy, and privacy!

Our forefathers were models of inspiration unto us unborn postwar children, in that they went of to war not knowing the true costs in terms of the hardships, courage, and the relentless toll of lost lives from the demands of conflict, but instead the steely resolve of their self contained conviction that through their collective war effort would freedom prevail, that we might benefit.

Now in these sheltered days since the last great war… the so called "war to end all wars", is now very much in question, and in that as much as the world cries out for peace it must seem that we shall be granted anything but this comfort and security, because we cannot bring ourselves to grips with the facts that the enemy wants nothing but to be judge, jury, and executioner of our very own way of life.

What is this obsession with beheading? If we were the ones who were exacting the beheadings on those who give nothing unto others in return, would those of us perpetrating these unspeakable acts ask any quarter in return?

In questioning what gives these dangerous home grown youth criminal the right to terrorize us in such a way that there age has anything to do with the damage they can inflict in human lives we fall down badly…

In our foolish sympathy toward these misguided pawns we ourselves risk everything and our children, to have this whole sordid affair blow up in our faces as result of inaction to deal swiftly, and judiciously with true wolf at our door.

Finally with the fêted smell of having our head up our collected derrieres so long, the reality of the frightful fresh air is indeed intimidating. Weak of Heart
